Eva Dias Costa joined Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão in 2023 as Of Counsel.
A lawyer registered with the Portuguese Bar Association since 1996, she has solid experience in Tax Law and related areas, notably Corporate Law, as well as in Civil Law, including Family Property Law and Succession Law. More recently, she has deepened her practice in Biomedical Law.
She holds a PhD in Law from Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique, a Postgraduate qualification from the University of Coimbra, and a Master’s degree and Law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University. Her academic background also includes the Doctoral Programme in Bioethics at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research programme at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (Harvard University).
She is an Associate Professor at Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique, where she teaches, among other subjects, Tax Law, Tax Procedure, European and International Tax Law, Family Law, Succession Law and Biomedical Law. She is an Integrated Researcher at the Portucalense Legal Institute and Principal Investigator of the ongoing project “Safeguard Dynamics in Tax Law: Multidimensional Studies on the Rights and Defences of the Administered in Portugal”.
She is a member of the International Chair in Bioethics (ICB) and of the Bioethics Centre of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and serves as Unit Chair of the ICB unit at UPT. She is also a guest external expert for the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Justice and is included in the list of external experts of the European Parliament (EPRS/EVAL). She is the author of several scientific publications and has participated in numerous national and international academic and scientific events.
Prior to joining Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão, she served as a tax arbitrator at CAAD – the Administrative Arbitration Centre.
