José Taborda joined Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão in 2015, where he works in the Fiscal, Corporate, Criminal and Administrative Offences Practice Areas.

He has a Law Degree from the Portuguese Catholic University - Porto Regional Centre, where he also became a Master in Criminal Law, having presented his thesis subject to the theme: The Unsustainable Weight of Pregnancy - The Figure of the Mother and the Disturbing Influence of Childbirth in the Crime of Infanticide.

José is also a PhD student in Law at the Portuguese Catholic University. He was a researcher in the European project “HandsUp - Promoting the Effective Elimination of Corporal Punishment Against Children”.

He has been participated in several panels as a speaker, at internationally and nationally renowned conferences, such as:

  • III European Conference on Domestic Violence – Oslo
  • 3º International Child and Adolescent Congress
  • I Future Law – I International Congress on the Future of Law
  • X Scientific Days of the Department of Sciences of the University Institute of Health Sciences

José has also publish several works, among which stand out:

  • “QUIS CUSTODIET IPSOS CUSTODES?” published in the ebook “digital – FUTURE LAW”, Universidade Católica Editora, 2018
  • “Jury courts: the judicial instrumentalisation of popular sovereignty”. Prepared in collaboration with Dr. Nuno Cerejeira Namora and published in Revista Vida Judiciária, no. 203, set/out 2017.
